This painting was one of my first paintings as an adult that I took any real time with. I would say it was an exercise of frustration and love and is one of my personal favorites because of the vibrancy of the colors I used and the style in which I painted my subjects. I don't like to put detail in for features because I feel that defines and discriminates towards an ethnicity of one out of many. Someday I will do different paintings depicting different types of parents but for the time being this is my first.
